Hello Scaper,

Welcome to the little spot on the net dedicated to my favorite show, Farscape. I have a feeling it is one of your favorites too. It may seem hard to believe, but when the show started here, in March 1999, I didn't think much of it. The Premiere wasn't very good and I thought Ben Browder was just a bad acting refugee from Party of Five. But, I gave it a chance and about two months into the season was starting to like it. When the episode titled Rhapsody in Blue was broadcast I became hooked. Am now a Farscape addict and don't want to be cured. Should add I vastly underrated Ben's acting ability - he does quite well and his performances have carried a number of the episodes. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Ben is surrounded by some very accomplished actors.

You may not know it, but you are now a member of a loosely knit group of people from around the world with at least one thing in common: Farscape. It's amazing to me how a relatively obscure show can have such an affect on so many people. Through chat rooms and bulletin boards, I have come to know people that I couldn't possibly meet any other way. Sometimes, we get together and meet in person--called scapermeets--and have lots of interesting stories to tell afterward. Sometimes VERY interesting stories, but I don't need to go there. Must admit, this site has features geared toward people with at least some familiarity with the show. If you are new to Farscape, some the humor may not make sense. Then again, a lot of experienced scapers would probably say that, too. If you are new to the show, I would suggest visiting the Crew Bios and Episode Guide-Season One. As mentioned earlier, there are a number of major bulletin boards and chat rooms on the net. I've listed five of them below and look forward to hearing from you. Can't speak for the UK and Australian boards, but I know the Sci-Fi board loves to hear from people from all over. This site has gotten quite a number of international visitors.
