I figured that since Braca is my second favorite PK, it would be nice if I could do a video for him. I've actually wanted to do a Braca video for some time, but there were a couple of road blocks. First off, he hasn't been in that many scenes so it makes it really hard to come up with footage. Secondly, I just couldn't find the right song. Enter AC/DC and a season 4 filled with nice Braca gems. Of course that created it's own problem. Season 4 was filmed in widescreen. Now since I was going to be mixing footage from all four seasons, something I haven't done yet, I had to decide how to do this vid. Would I do it widescreen, cropping the fullscreen footage or the other way around.



The advantage of making it all widescreen is that the quality remains consistent. The hard part was deciding where to center the frame to get the best view. In a few scenes I had to do my own pan and scan to shift the center of the frame. Had I gone the other route I would be zooming in on the widescreen footage and that would make it a slight lower quality in comparison. Overall I'm pleased with the effect.



One thing I did notice is that to combat the graininess of season 4 I had to change the contrast and brightness. I really think this made the video nice and sharp and consistent across all clips. The graininess in season 4 is especially noticeable in the darker scenes. With the adjustment on the contrast and brightness, I don't think this is very noticeable at all.



While it was still difficult to come up with enough footage, I think this is a nice look at Braca and all the problems he's had with his bosses. Um, okay, just now, looking at this version of the lyrics, I finally 'got' the joke of the phone number. I've only been listening to this song for something like 20 years.
