Be careful of what you wish for; you just might get it. For over three cycles Crichton has been obsessed with wormholes and returning home to Earth. The focus of this video is the conflicting emotions Crichton feels when he finally realizes his dream of coming home. The secret to creating wormholes is his, but Crichton realizes his dream is a nightmare in how it impacts Earth, his family and his relationship with Aeryn.

About the song, Politik is the first track of Coldplay's A Rush Of Blood To The Head album. The song is actually a protest of "ridiculous international trade laws and ruthless western business". Ouch. Good thing is that the song's left-wing political message is so subtle as to be indiscernible, at least to me. Are these lyrics really about trade laws, or were they secretly written for John Crichton?

Updated 19 September 2004. This video is a near identical remake of the original. The two main differences is that the frelling Sci Fi logo is gone - the video is from the DVDs - and I added a few new filters here and there.

Updated 1 December 2004 - Okay, I got the message! Just posted the new, new version of the video, sans special effects. Well, I kept a couple in there, but they are significant to the story the video tells. Otherwise, the new version is just like the original, only better. Please note: The Windows Media files are the new version and the Real Player file is the old (9 June 2003) version.

I don't think I have ever posted a comment about this video. I never felt the need till I started going back through my old videos, many of which where never finished. Mixed with my projects are other people that inspired me to take my pasion for this show a step further and start making videos. This video is THE video that was like a light bulb in my head. It's been nearly a year since I saw this video for the first time and I've watched countless other vids since, but this is still-hands down-my favorite Farscape vid. I'd write a tome before I adequately explained how amazing this vid is. The song, the clips, the editing, the theme...everything about it is just perfect. You've captured what Farscape IS.

The. Best. Farscape. Video. Ever. I absolutely mean that. The reverse sweep back through the relationship at the end is so good it leaves me breathless every time I watch it. For me, this is the one all others are compared by.

I was almost strong enough to wait for the Farscape Starburst Edition DVDs to come out. I really was. I just became a fan of Farscape and I'm in love with it. But as you all know, the season sets are a little costly. But ADV Films is re-releasing Farscape on these new Starburst Edition collections. 7 episodes in each collection and each collection costs about $15-20 depending on where you buy em. But only one is out so far. It's going to take a while for them all to come out. Ok, sorry to rant but yes, I am no longer strong enough to wait after seeing this music video. I need the wonderful-ness that is Farscape.

"Love over this" is my #1 favourite video and this version is fantastic, but I still like your original version better. It would be great to see a re-edit of the original without the extra effects. It's still a great vid though.

Why have you added those effects ? I love your video, this is one of the best I've seen, but those changes you made are really, really not needed. The effects add a "cheap" side to this wonderful video and do not fit at all.(especially the thing on Scorpius face). The images and music are powerful enough and you editing very efficient. You really should hold on to your older version. Sorry to be blunt, but you acted like a well known Mr Lucas here ;o) On the other side, the better quality of the images is great. good to see the logos are gone :o)))

Wow! Perfectly edited from beginning to end. I loved the montage at the end, working from the end to the beginning of Aeryn and John; beautiful and moving. Every clip was perfectly chosen and clear. Great song choice as well. Just perfect all the way around.

This was a terrific vid which is quite as much a representation of the quality of this amazing site. The flashes of clips at the beginning and the end were both appetizers and desserts. Wow. I am a big shippy-vid fan ... and I have to tell you, I think this was the best one I have EVER seen. It was so incredibly professional, and the music was perfectly in-sync with the images. Dallas, I still love this vid. I agree that it is one of my favs, and I'm not a shipper. The re-edit is beautiful. I like the effects you added, they worked really well. One of the strengths of this vid is a great use of long fades. They really highlight the pacing of the song.

I personally feel that choosing such a wonderful song as Politik by Coldplay would have been unwise and very difficult to pull off; the result could well have missed the mark. What Dallascaper has achieved here in my mind is a resounding 'Hell Yeah'. Not only do we see a symmetrically balanced piece of editing in opening and closing of the Vid. But after the accolade of images bombarding us at the start the storytelling takes over in words of this wonderful song. It is beautifully done the way you have lead us through the loyalties that Crichton most take stock of. Finally what a wonderful way to end? the clarity of his choice which balances with the confusion of the start. You guys are just too good:)

I can only echo how fantastic this video is. I am a new fan of the show, and haven't even *seen* the episodes with which it primarily deals (I'm only in S2 right now), but the storytelling is so effective and evocative that I'm already in love with this video. Amazing work.

WOW is all I can say. I love Coldplay, and for the past month I've been waking up to Politik (as it is the first song on the CD). I am a bit of a newbie to Farscape, and have just seen all of season 1, so when I saw your video, I thought 'Coldplay + Farscape = something to blow my socks off'. And did it ever!! The lyrics match so well (I especially love the 'give me' bits - SO fitting) and you've packed all the great moments in there. Cheers to a great vid!

Oh, my gosh. I just finished watching this and I am so blown away at the magnificence(sp). That was incredible. I was expecting the normal ending when BAM! I'm taken BACKWARDS through the whole relationship. That added a completely new feel to the shippiness. The entire thing... the way you overlayed the clips blended so perfectly for the whole theme. It was beautiful. Wow.

I loved this. It's a beautiful video -- a wonderful meld of sight and sound. Two things in particular struck me as I watched: 1) the use of a series of images over another underlying image and 2) the syncopated scene switches from the end back to the beginning. Thanks for Sharing. ;)

Once again, Dallascaper has made a video that is so stunning, so creative and so imaginative we can only sit in front of our editors in envy. That was a great video, even better than "Smooth Criminals" and "Sail Away", two of my favorites. Great song, great lyrics and great editing. Great imagination. This is such a great video. I love Coldplay and this song fits the video perfectly. It's really fast moving and kept my attention the whole way through. I love all the clips of John and Aeryn at the end, which go back from the end of season 4 to the beginning of season 1, very clever! Thanks very much for making such a brilliant video.
