The video recalls some of the sad moments experienced by John and crew of Moya during the series run of "Farscape". Ashokan is a area that was flooded in 1914 to make the Ashokan reservoir. Thus the "Ashokan Farewell" is a song of loss of something (or someone) that you loved.
