Fiction:
Adding/Editing/Removing
Adding
a story starts by clicking the 'Add Story' link located
on the right navigational column. Here you will find the
following five fields:
Story
Title: Enter the title of your story.
Summary:
Use this field to enter a summary of your story. One or
two sentences is usually enough detail to entice Scapers.
If there is something Scapers really need to know about
your story, like if it is slash or potentially disturbing
to some people, this is a good place to add a warning.
Rating:
We are using the same system that the movie industry uses,
G=General Audiences, PG=Parental Guidance, PG13=Parents
Strongly Cautioned and R=Restricted.
Chapter
Title: If you have multiple chapters, and each one has
its own title, enter the title here.
First
Chapter: This is where you will paste your story. You
could type your story, but note that each session times
out with inactivity, so you wouldn't want to spend alot
of time typing and thinking out your story, only for the
session to time out. All HTML formatting is removed when
you post a story to Farscape Fantasy, so all fancy formatting
will be lost. However, you can use bbcode for bold,
italic and underline. The code is located
right under the chapter field and is easy to follow.
Once
the first chapter is entered, click 'add story'.
Adding
Chapters: So, you just added a story, but it's only
one chapter. What if you want multiple chapters? No problem.
On the right navigational column, click 'Add Chapter'. You
will see a list of all stories that you have submitted,
including your newest fic. Click the story title to highlight
it, then click the 'select' button.
Chapter
title: Enter the chapter title if it has one.
Chapter:
Paste your chapter, just like the first chapter, and then
click 'add chapter'. Repeat this process until your entire
fiction is posted.
Editing
Your Story:
To
edit the story title, summary or rating, click 'Edit Story'
on the right navigational column. Click the story you wish
to edit to highlight it, then click 'select'. Here you will
find fields for the title, summary and rating, which you
can edit. When done, click 'edit story' and those elements
of your fic are now changed.
To
edit a particular chapter of a story, click 'Edit Chapter'
on the right navigational column. Here you will find each
story you've submitted, with each chapter listed under each
title. Highlight by clicking the chapter title you
wish to edit and and click 'select'. Here you can edit the
chapter title and the chapter text. When finished, click
'edit chapter'.
Remove
Your Story:
You
can delete an entire story by clicking 'Delete Story' on
the right navigational column. You will find a field listing
every fic you've submitted. Simply click to highlight the
story you wish to remove and then click 'delete'. Clicking
the story title removes all chapters of that story.
